The Fifth Day Of The China Eastern Airlines Passenger Plane Crash: Eight Major Concerns Were Responded To

On March 25, the rescue of China Eastern Airlines passenger plane crash entered the fifth day. At the fifth press conference of the National Emergency Response Headquarters of the "3.21" China Eastern Airlines MU5735 aircraft flight accident held on the 25th, many key issues of public concern were responded to.

Focus 1: How is the second black box search going?

The second black box has not yet been found, and the rescue scene is scrambling to search.

Focus 2: How long does it take to decipher the first black box?

Based on damage, repair schedule, data download and data analysis.  

Focus 3: How many remains were newly discovered at the scene?

As of 15 o 'clock On May 25, some remains of the dead bodies were found, 18 fingerprints and 101 relics were found and taken from the scene.  As well as engine gearbox and main landing gear parts of the aircraft.  

Focus 4: How is the comparison between the identification of the victims and DNA testing?

A total of 236 experts and criminal technicians formed 34 working groups to carry out investigations and inspections of biological characteristics and traces of material evidence, identification of victims and DNA tests.  

Focus 5: Did the crashed flight ever issue an emergency code?

Liu Xiaodong, head of the publicity department of China Eastern Airlines Group, said that communication was normal before the flight disappeared and the crew did not post any emergency codes.  

Focus 6: Will the passenger list information be made public?

According to Liu xiaodong, passenger lists of all flights are private information protected by law and are not subject to voluntary disclosure.  "We believe that according to domestic and international practice, whether or not to disclose should be subordinated to the urgent need of searching passengers and contacting their families."  

Focus 7: How is the reception of family members?

Accommodation for family members, DNA sampling and psychological counseling were properly arranged, and medical staff were on standby 24 hours a day.  

Focus 8: When will the preliminary investigation report be submitted?

According to China's civil aviation regulations, the Civil Aviation Administration should submit a preliminary investigation report to THE INTERNATIONAL Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) within 30 days after the accident.
